(OPEN) Playful, Energetic, and Warm Full-Time Nanny/Family Assistant Needed for Active Toddler in Pittsford, NY!

Schedule: 32 hours per week, M-Th (flexible)

Compensation: $24–$27+/h DOE

These kind and responsive first-time parents in Pittsford, NY are seeking a proactive, playful, and nurturing Nanny/Family assistant to join them in caring for their sweet and sensitive toddler! The family is offering 32 hours per week M-Th, and is looking forward to discussing an exact schedule that works well for all parties. Most importantly, they are looking for a caregiver who hopes to grow with and become an integral part of their family for years to come! 

Mom and Dad have been the primary caregivers, and are eager to add a responsive, intuitive, and dedicated caregiver to their team. Since their little one's arrival in 2024, Mom has stayed home, and is excited to partner with a caregiver who can support her as she gets back into a routine, and explores the possibility of gradually getting back into her field in the coming years. These loving parents describe their little one as curious, engaged, and sensitive to the environment around him. A caregiver with a genuine love for supporting children and families, and who is excited to truly connect and engage with their toddler will be a wonderful fit! 

With Mom and Dad in and out throughout the day, a caregiver who can seamlessly transition between childcare and family assistant duties as needed will be appreciated. Family assistant duties (as time allows) include proactively lending a hand with laundry, light household and kitchen tidying, meal prep, wiping down the high-chair and table, cleaning and rotating children’s toys, etc. This family is offering a family vehicle for outings, and is looking forward to their nanny planning trips to the local library, parks, and museums!

The family’s ideal candidate is nurturing, safety-conscious, intuitive, and possesses a genuine passion for working with children. Someone who is comfortable validating feelings and big toddler emotions, while also being able to redirect as needed will be a welcome addition to the “toddler years team”! Comfort around pets is essential, as the family has one senior cat in the home, who mostly keeps to themselves and can be found napping in their favorite spot during the day.

Requirements:

2+ years of professional childcare experience

Familiarity with developmental milestones for toddlers

CPR/First Aid certified
